DMCA Policy
NowCaptions does not host video content. However, we take copyright concerns seriously. This policy explains how to report alleged infringement.
Important: NowCaptions is a translation tool. We don't store, host, or distribute videos. Videos remain on third-party platforms. If you believe a video infringes your copyright, please report it primarily to the source platform (YouTube, X, Vimeo, etc.).
01What we can act on
- If AI-generated subtitles we produced reproduce protected text from your work substantially
- If our service has been used to process content that infringes your copyright (we can block the URL pattern)
- If our website displays imagery, text, or branding infringing your copyright
We cannot remove videos from third-party platforms — contact those directly.
02Filing a DMCA notice
Email contact@nowcaptions.com with subject "DMCA Notice", containing:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- Identification of the infringing material
- Your contact info: name, address, phone, email
- A good-faith statement
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you are the copyright owner or authorized agent
- Your physical or electronic signature
03Response time
We acknowledge within 48 business hours and act on valid complaints within 7 business days. We may add the URL pattern to our blocklist, delete cached subtitle fragments, or suspend repeat-infringing accounts.
04Counter-notice
If you believe action was taken in error, send a counter-notice to the same email with:
- Your signature
- Identification of the affected material
- Statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake
- Name, address, phone, consent to French jurisdiction
05Repeat infringers
We terminate accounts of users with 3+ substantiated DMCA complaints in any 12-month period.
06False claims
Filing knowingly false DMCA claims may result in legal liability.
Politique DMCA
NowCaptions n'héberge pas de contenu vidéo. Néanmoins, nous prenons les questions de droit d'auteur au sérieux. Cette politique explique comment signaler une infraction présumée.
Important : NowCaptions est un outil de traduction. Nous ne stockons, n'hébergeons ni ne distribuons aucune vidéo. Les vidéos restent sur les plateformes tierces. Si tu penses qu'une vidéo viole ton droit d'auteur, signale-la d'abord à la plateforme source (YouTube, X, Vimeo, etc.).
01Ce que nous pouvons traiter
- Si des sous-titres générés par notre IA reproduisent substantiellement un texte protégé
- Si notre service a été utilisé pour traiter un contenu qui viole ton droit d'auteur (nous pouvons bloquer le motif d'URL)
- Si notre site web affiche des images, texte ou branding violant ton droit d'auteur
Nous ne pouvons pas retirer des vidéos des plateformes tierces — contacte-les directement.
02Déposer une plainte DMCA
Email à contact@nowcaptions.com avec « DMCA Notice » en objet, contenant :
- Identification de l'œuvre protégée
- Identification du matériel contrefaisant
- Tes coordonnées : nom, adresse, téléphone, email
- Une déclaration de bonne foi
- Une déclaration sous peine de parjure que tu es le titulaire ou agent autorisé
- Ta signature physique ou électronique
03Temps de réponse
Nous accusons réception sous 48h ouvrées et agissons sur les plaintes valides sous 7 jours ouvrés. Nous pouvons ajouter le motif d'URL à notre blocklist, supprimer les fragments de sous-titres cachés, ou suspendre les comptes récidivistes.
04Contre-notification
Si tu penses qu'une action a été prise par erreur, envoie une contre-notification au même email avec :
- Ta signature
- Identification du matériel
- Déclaration sous peine de parjure que le matériel a été retiré par erreur
- Nom, adresse, téléphone, consentement à la juridiction française
05Récidivistes
Nous résilions les comptes avec 3+ plaintes DMCA fondées sur 12 mois.
06Fausses déclarations
Déposer une plainte DMCA sciemment fausse peut entraîner une responsabilité légale.
